Bolesław Włodek was a teacher and social activist and member of the National Council of the Duchy of Cieszyn. This article reconstructs the basic facts of his biography. He was born in 1886 in Krakow. He was a teacher in Szumbark (1900–1907) and Polska Ostrawa (1907–1919). He was active in Polish associations. In 1911, he became a candidate of the Polish national parties in the elections to the Council of State in Vienna, but withdrew under blackmail from the Socialists. In 1918, as a representative of the Social-National Union, he became a member of the National Council of the Duchy of Cieszyn. After the Czech invasion in 1919, he was arrested. The same year he left Ostrawa and moved to the Polish part of Cieszyn Silesia. From 1922 he worked in Upper Silesia. He died in 1948 in Katowice.
